This is a set of clothing with the ancient heritage of the Miao people. The top is a blouse and the bottom is a pleated skirt. Its main features are twofold: First, the top retains the characteristics of the first garment in early Chinese clothing. This is a clothing form with a long history. It is named because it needs to be worn from the head down. Secondly, there are square patterns of different sizes distributed on the back, sleeves and hem of the clothes. Among them, the largest square pattern is located on the back, while the ones on the left and right sleeves are slightly smaller. At the hem, there are five patterns of different sizes arranged in a row, with a strict structure and orderly layout. It is said that this square pattern is a symbol of the Miao king's seal and was specially designed to commemorate the glorious history of his ethnic group. According to legend, in ancient times, the ancestors of this branch accompanied the Miao king on expeditions and fought everywhere. During the migration, in order to identify the people of his own tribe, the Miao king put his own big seal on the clothes of each tribesman to show the difference. Later, in order to commemorate the Miao King and identify their relatives, the women of this Miao ethnic group embroidered patterns symbolizing the Miao King's seal on their clothes as a special emblem of their ethnic group. Today, this square pattern has become a unique cultural symbol that tells people the past history of the Miao people.

In addition, the square pattern on the back of the dress is decorated with an eight-pointed star pattern. As early as the Neolithic Age, this eight-pointed star pattern has appeared on many artifacts, which is ancient and mysterious. Some scholars believe that this type of decoration represents the radiant sun, which contains the simple world view of primitive people and shows people's understanding of the world and their respect for nature. Today, this cultural symbol with a long history is still commonly used in the decoration of utensils of various ethnic groups in my country and continues to be circulated. This Miao Hanfu is one of the representatives.

The Miao compatriots use their hard work and wisdom to make the gloriousExcellent national culture is embroidered on the clothing and vividly presented in the form of patterns, which not only carries the historical memory of ethnic migration, but also retains the traces of ancient Chinese civilization.
